Realtree Kayak From KC |

From KC Kayaks comes a striking end to the era of single color thermoforming. A collaborative project with veteran suppliers of stealth, Realtree, the Camouflage K12 is a vessel designed with both hunters and anglers in mind. Says KC Kayaks CEO, Gaines Garrett, "It will not scratch or peel off. This is not a wrap or hydrographic dip, but is a film that is integrated into the plastic sheet as it is extruded." What this means for the future of kayak adornment remains unclear. It does, however, bring to mind visions of unheralded customization for niche markets within the paddle sports world. Sponsors, perhaps, can place logos in groundbreaking fashions, and anglers can suit their camouflage needs to the environments in which they travel. The Realtree K12 will be available for a price increase of $150 from the original K12's MSRP of $1399.99. |
