Review: Costa Tuna Alley Sunglasses E-mail
Monday, 29 April 2013 18:21

CostaTunaAlley The KFM staff recently had the opportunity to demo the new Costa Tuna Alley sunglasses. Costa is legendary in the fishing sunglasses market and we couldn't wait to get our hands on them. What better way to put them to the test than bring them to the bright sun and blue waters of Panama.

KFM Publisher Allen Sansano had this to say about them, "Having recently had Lasik surgury 2 weeks before the trip, I was looking for a pair of quality sunglasses to protect my still sensitive eyes.

"The wrapparound design did an admirable job keeping excess spray out of my eyes, which was a concern due to the small possibility of infection post surgery. All the while, the vents prevented the sunglasses from fogging up. The sharp optics let me see many fish following the the poppers we were throwing at  wash rocks

And KFM Editor Allen Bushnell had this to say about his Tuna Alleys, "OK first, these Costas may be the most comfortable sunglasses I've owned (and I've owned them all). Soft ultra flex in the earpieces allow me to wear them all day every day with no discomfort whatsoever.

"The curved lenses provide good peripheral vision while the temple design effectively blocks sidelight from interfering with my vision on the water. Optics are outstanding, crystal clear and glare-free. People don't realize how much stress one can accumulate fishing for hours with inferior lenses. Your eyes work overtime to compensate and it can be sneakily exhausting. The Costas allow my eyes to stay relaxed and acute all day."

Needless to say, the staff at KFM would highly recommend these sunglasses for all your kayak fishing needs.  These sunglasses come in a variety of frame colors and lens colors for all the conditions you might encounter on the water.
