Klip-N-Go Kayak Straps have stepped up and offered to be partial sponsors in two upcoming charity events; Jamaica Bay, NY in May 2011, and Cape May, NJ to follow in October. As such, I’ve had the opportunity to test this new product out for myself.

How many times have we all said that whatever it was that we were carrying at a particular time would be much easier if it weren’t so bulky? In this case, it’s our kayaks.

Klip-N-Go Kayak Straps evenly distribute that weight and tame the bulkiness to allow for us to simply sling the kayak over our shoulder, and head out!

The Klip-N-Go Kayak Strap was designed for kayaks with a cockpit rim, but I was able to fashion a couple of loop straps for my bow and stern on my Ocean Kayak and achieve the same result. Which is, a quick and easy tote. (well, in my yard, hey, its cold out there)

Yes, there are kayak carts and other applications as well. Lord knows that I won’t be carrying a Pro Angler or an Outback with the Klip-N-Go, but it is rated for 200 pounds.

I’m looking forward to spring and having the Klip-N-Go in my arsenal of tools, gadgets, and toys seems to be a no brainer. It surely is a welcome addition!

klipngo TJCoverNew kayak fishing article The klip-n-go kayak strap is a quick and easy way to transport your kayak from the drop-off point to your favorite paddling destination, or for those inconvenient portages along the way. Simply attach the custom formed clips fore and aft on the cockpit rim, throw the six foot adjustable strap over your shoulder and off you go. A generously cushioned, slide through shoulder pad allows you to easily adjust the balance point of the kayak as it rides along your hip. When you’re ready to hit the water, simply roll up the strap, place it inside the drawstring nylon bag, and clip it to your kayak with the attached carabiner.

Dean Edlebeck, company president and inventor of the klip-n-go kayak strap says, “I wanted to buy a quality, inexpensive shoulder strap that I could use to portage my kayak with.  I couldn’t find anything, so I decided to make one myself.”

Constructed of strong, water and mildew resistant two inch wide polyester webbing; the klip-n-go kayak strap is both lightweight and durable. The heat-tempered spring steel clips are zinc coated for rust-resistance and fitted with a patterned rubber pad to provide maximum non-abrasive gripping power.

Launched 10-25-2010 and headed up by Ms. Tammy Kuse, Klip-N-Go LLC., is a family-owned business located in central Wisconsin.  The company is dedicated to providing a quality, comfortable, and durable product for the kayaking community.  We assemble the straps in house, ensuring that each strap has been quality approved.  The Klip-N-Go Kayak Strap is a desired addition to the complete kayak package.
