10,000 Islands & Nowhere to Hide
By KFC staff journalist
The Kayak Fishing ClassicS’ next tournament series stop is in Everglades City and the fabled Ten Thousand Islands area. The 10,000 Islands Classic, scheduled for April 14 will begin with pre-fishing on the 13th as contestants will look for hiding Tarpon, Snook and Redfish. Anglers will launch on tournament day from the Everglades National Park or from the park in Chokoloskee. Anglers may also use another launch for backcountry fishing for the famous trio of fish and all of the launch site maps can be found on the ClassicS website. The 10,000 Islands Classic is hosted by the Everglades Seafood Depot where the photo weigh-in and awards ceremony will be held. The eatery provides a tasty and unique fare of local seafood and other culinary delights. The Port of the Islands Resort is the Lodging Host for the second year in a row and offers a very nice discount to contestants, sponsors and friends. The Port of the Islands Resort is also very unique and is considered to be the Jewel of the Everglades. Visitors and contestants alike will find both hosting sponsors to be very accommodating with friendly service. Anglers will be competing for their position in the Series Standings as well as their share of the booty, nearly $10,000 in Sponsor Gear Prizes which can be overwhelming for the winners. The combination of hunting for Tarpon, Snook & Redfish in one day will be exciting as the contestants will leave them nowhere to hide. To learn more and be a part of the event you may register and attend the Captains Meeting Online at www.KayakFishingClassicS.com See you there! |
