The Squid Anchor E-mail

The Squid Portable Anchor is the most effective lightweight, portable anchor around. Durable materials, solid construction, and sturdy molded flukes to grip the bottom make the anchor suitable for craft up to 16'. With no assembly required, it's fast and easy to use. It weights only about 7 oz. when empty, and the patented design allows the anchor to be flipped inside out to become its own compact storage bag. Once you try it, you'll want one for every watercraft you own.

This anchor was created to fill a real need in the boating market. In simplest terms, it is a shaped fabric bag, with hard flukes, that is weighted with local gravel or sand to make an anchor whenever needed. It is designed for small and lightweight craft such as canoes, kayaks, and duck boats. It also serves well for almost any vessel up to 16' in calm or light wind conditions.

The unit is space efficient, occupying only about 75 cubic inches. The weight is less than 8 ounces. When empty, the anchor is turned inside-out, flukes inside, and becomes its own storage container. A plastic storage tube can be affixed to the vessel, keeping the anchor ready for use.
