(Ed note:)  I've been using the Icon since for almost a year now.  This is without a doubt the brightest and most reliable headlamp I've ever owned. The multiple modes make it flexible for any conditions. For my pre-dawn paddle outs and deep gorge river steelhead hikes, the icon continues to excel. All the other headlamps in the house are on the shelf, this is the only one I need anymore.~Bushy)
